Mr Salmonhead

Mr Salmonhead likes to swim around
The gutters in a storm
To see if he can find a cosy
Fish-hole to keep warm.

He swims along the roadside drains
He wind-es through the sewers
And every now and then he finds a
Rainbow-coloured lure.

He likes to munch, he likes to bite
He likes to tease, he likes to smite
But most of all he likes the look
Of his own cheek pierced by an angling hook.

And when he's finished playing with metal
He tears it out and lets it go
Smiling, teething, feeling frail
He blithely lets the whole world know

That he simply likes to swim around
The gutters in a storm
To see if he can find a cosy
Fish-hole to keep warm.

Kbert.
