Welcome to this part of the site! There’s a passage in the bible that says "I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes" (Romans 1:16) and I try not to be shy of sharing this powerful piece of news. And that news would be that Jesus Christ willingly gave up his life in an exceptionally unpleasant way as the penalty for the mess that we have created, then proved he was God by rising back to life. Pretty good if you ask me. Now it’s our call whether we accept or reject that, i.e. accept or reject Jesus. If you have, that rocks, and if you haven’t then take some time to actually check out his claims in the New Testament (rather than dismissing it all in ignorance as too many people do).

There is a whole lot of cosmological and historical support for the truth of the Christian faith. I recommend the following two books which highlight the historical believability of the resurrection [1] and the scientific basis for a creative force outside this universe [2]:
[1] Who Moved The Stone by Frank Morrison (Faber Press, ISBN: 0571032591)
[2] The fingerprint of God by Hugh Ross (Promise Publ., ISBN: 0939497182)
Feel free to mail me with any comments/questions/accusations of heresy.

As for me, I’m involved in various youth shennanigans - mainly a youth group called "PYE" - at Epping Presbyterian Church (check out our drop-in centre ground zero). I also served with a bunch of other crazy god-botherers on Forster beach mission team between 1998 and 2001. Some day I intend to use my expertise in natural fibre composites to provide affordable housing materials for impoverished people in developing nations. If you are interested in this concept and have any ideas for making it a reality, I’d love to hear from you. Anyway, here’s a set of links I’ve found to be useful and/or interesting:
